As a painter I am always experimenting and trying to improve my techniques and approaches. When painting Katy I wanted a dramatic affect. I wanted to see light blazing surrounding the subject. It is my way to emphasize her beautiful features and the shadows of hair that define the contours of her face. I hope you enjoy Katy not only for my reasons but your own as well.
